Accepted Insurance Plans
We accept almost all major Commercial, Medicare, MVA and Workers Compensation insurance policies. It is up to you as the patient though, to contact your plan and see if our office is In-Network with your insurance. We DO NOT accept any Medicaid or insurance plans related to Medicaid. We also currently do not accept AmeriHealth or AARP United Healthcare but are working to become In-Network in the future.

HMO (Health Maintenance Organization)A type of health insurance plan that limits health coverage to doctors and specialists within a network of providers. HMOs provide an integrated approach to health care, often with an emphasis on prevention. EPO (Exclusive Provider Network)A type of health insurance plan that, like an HMO, limits health coverage to doctors and hospitals within a network of providers. However, EPOs also provide options for patients to see specialists outside of the network. OAP (Open Access Point of Service Plan)A type of flexible health insurance plan that offers in-network referrals from your primary care doctor, as with an HMO. Additionally, patients can self-refer to specialists and facilities within the network at a discount, or receive care at out-of-network providers at a higher cost. |
PPO (Preferred Provider Organization)A type of health insurance plan consisting of a network of hospitals and doctors. Health care received outside of the network can be covered at an additional cost. POS (Point of Service)A type of of health insurance plan that charges less if you use doctors, hospitals, or providers within the plan’s network. These plans require a referral from your primary care doctor to see a medical specialist. |
How We Handle Insurance at Doctors Medi Center
Our goal is to make quality health care accessible to the entire community, so it’s no wonder we have options available for people with or without health insurance.
For Those With Health Insurance
We cannot guarantee that your insurance carrier will pay for your visit, or that your visit will apply to your in-network benefits. After each visit, we bill your insurance provider and you are responsible for the co-payment or deductible. The total amount that you owe depends on the specific health insurance plan you have and whether your company has a predetermined agreement with DMC. If you have any questions, call the number on the back of your insurance card to learn more about your coverage. For your co-payment or for those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we accept cash, checks, debit and credit cards.
Do you have an HMO or EPO Plan?
It’s important for you to call the phone number on the back of your insurance card before your first visit and select one of our physicians as your Primary Care Physician. This will reduce costs and any insurance hassles for you later on and also allow us to make any referrals, order tests and call in prescriptions on your behalf.
For Those WITHOUT Health Insurance
No insurance? No problem. Enjoy the benefit of seeing our physicians without breaking your budget. Whether you need a physical or want to address specific health concerns, Doctors Medi Center makes it affordable. Self-pay exams start at just $100 for a visit with one of our trusted health care professionals.
Our Financial Policy
Payment of your copay or any past balances owed are expected at the time of service. For patients without medical insurance, we offer discounted self-pay programs.
